Can ttylinux be used as a simple router?
I have ttylinux on a machine with 2 ethernet cards, eth0 connected to the internet, and eth1 connected to an internal network.
I'd like to set up routing between the the two networks.
I've done this successfully with Ubuntu.
The first step is to issue: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
That works with Ubuntu, but in ttylinux it responds with, "-bash: /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward: cannot overwrite existing file"
What exactly is the problem? Is it just the way the kernel is configured? What do I need to do to change it so that I can enable forwarding in the kernel?
